Installing a handrail in an existing building can be challenging, as walls may already be covered with tile, wallpaper, or paint. Our stair wall mounted handrail provides a solution for retrofit projects, such as hospitals adding grab bars or senior homes improving accessibility, without damaging the existing wall finish. Color and length are fully customizable to suit any interior.

The handrail attaches to wall mounting brackets with bolts. Bracket spacing follows code at ≤1200 mm. Vertical loads transfer to the wall through the brackets, which are secured using expansion screws. Solid walls use 60 mm screws, while hollow brick or partition walls use butterfly anchors. Only small holes are required, leaving minimal impact on tiles, wallpaper, or painted surfaces. Decorative covers hide the screw heads, resulting in a neat, professional finish.

Handrail height is typically 850–950 mm, with bracket slots allowing ±15 mm fine-tuning for precise leveling. The gap between the handrail and the wall is 35–45 mm, meeting China's GB 50763 accessibility standard and the US ADA standard. Fingers can easily wrap around the handrail for a secure grip. An optional antibacterial coating using silver ions achieves a ≥99% kill rate for E. coli and Staphylococcus, ideal for medical and senior care environments.
