Generally, 900mm is used for staircases with a slope of around 30°; 600mm is typically used for staircases used by children. For general indoor staircases, a height of ≥900mm is generally taken as 1000mm. The horizontal railing on the side closest to the stairwell should be >500mm long and ≥1000mm high; outdoor staircase handrails should be ≥1050mm high.

1. Indoor Staircase Handrail Height: Generally, the height of indoor staircase handrails is 90cm, which is a standard value. However, this data can be adjusted according to actual circumstances. When the staircase length exceeds 5 meters, the handrail height can be appropriately increased to 1 meter. Of course, if there are children in the house, it is recommended that even if the staircase length is less than 5 meters, it should still be designed to be 1 meter high, and the handrail should not be stepped on.

2. The height of outdoor stair handrails should be slightly higher than that of indoor handrails. When the height of the staircase is less than 24 meters, the height of outdoor public stair handrails is generally no less than 105 cm. When the height of the staircase is more than 24 meters, the height of outdoor stair handrails is generally no less than 110 cm.
