Basic Standard Requirements for Corridor Railings: The design of corridor railings must prioritize safety protection. The main standards are the *Unified Standard for Design of Civil Buildings* (GB 50352-2019) and the *Technical Standard for Building Safety Railings* (JGJ/T 470-2019). Specific requirements are as follows:

Height Requirements: When the height above ground is <24m, the clear height of the railing should not be less than 1.05m;

When the height above ground is ≥24m, the clear height of the railing should not be less than 1.10m (including special locations such as kindergartens and primary and secondary schools).

Based on: Clause 6.7.3 of GB 50352-2019, considering the center of gravity of people and the risk of falls.

Spacing Restrictions: Vertical railing spacing ≤11cm to prevent children's heads from getting stuck;

Horizontal railings (such as horizontal decorative strips) should avoid designs that allow climbing.

Special Scenarios and Extended Requirements

Materials and Loads: The railings must withstand a horizontal load ≥1.5kN/m (JGJ/T 470-2019, Clause 4.2.2) to ensure impact resistance;

Glass railings should use laminated glass with a thickness ≥12mm and must pass an impact test.

Accessibility Design: Public building corridors must have handrails on both sides of the railings, with a height of 0.85m (suitable for wheelchair users);

The handrail diameter should be 3.5~5cm for easy gripping.

Construction and Acceptance Points

Installation Location: The railings should be fixed to the main structure (such as beams and columns), and should not be attached only to the decorative layer;

Acceptance Standards: On-site load testing is required, and the deformation must not exceed 1/100 of the span.
