Curved Metal Fence

A steel fence is heavy and requires a large concrete base, which costs money. Our curved metal fence uses aluminum. At the same strength, aluminum weighs 60% less than steel. This allows the base to be 30% to 40% smaller. For a long factory fence stretching several thousand meters, the savings on concrete are substantial. The height can range from 1000mm to 2000mm, and the style, color, length, and height can all be customized. This fence is suitable for residential communities, factory parks, schools, yards, and public parks.

We use 6063-T5 or 6061-T6 aluminum, with a tensile strength of 205MPa-close to mild steel's 400MPa. However, aluminum weighs only one-third as much, giving it a superior strength-to-weight ratio. Our aluminum fence weighs only 8–12 kg per meter, including posts, while a steel fence of comparable strength weighs 20–25 kg per meter. The concrete base can be reduced in size by 30% to 40%, including less rebar, which adds up quickly over a long fence line. We use welded assembly, with all crossing points fully argon arc welded. Aluminum does not rust, so the welds require no additional anti-corrosion treatment.

Aluminum naturally forms an Al₂O3 oxide layer when exposed to air. Unlike iron oxide, this layer does not expand or peel under acid rain or industrial pollution. There is no need to paint the fence to prevent rust. Over ten years, the total cost is only 40% to 50% of that of a steel fence. We conduct QUV accelerated aging tests on the powder coating. After 5,000 hours, gloss retention remains at 80% or more, and color change is ΔE ≤ 2.0 according to GB/T 1766-2008. In areas with strong UV, such as southern China, the fence shows no significant fading for 7 to 10 years. Because the fence is lighter, the post embedment depth can be reduced by 20%.
