Modern Hand Railing for Stairs

Touch a steel handrail on a hot summer day-it burns your hand. Touch it in winter-it feels like ice. Peeling paint on a steel railing can also stain your clothes. Our modern hand railing for stairs uses aluminum. While aluminum conducts heat faster than steel, the powder coating on top blocks direct temperature transfer, making it feel much more neutral. Aluminum never rusts, so it will never stain your clothes.

The standard height ranges from 1100mm to 1200mm, and the style, color, length, and height can all be customized. This railing is suitable for indoor and outdoor stairs, walkways, schools, and factories.

We use 6063-T5 aluminum. The handrail has an oval cross-section, 50mm wide and 35mm high, which naturally fits the curve of a closed hand. You can hold it comfortably for long periods without fatigue.

The railing is welded during assembly, and all welds between the handrail and posts are ground smooth and brushed. The surface is bump-free and smooth. Old steel railings often have peeling paint, which rubs off on sleeves, but our aluminum railing leaves no marks. Even if the coating wears off completely, bare aluminum will not rust-no stains on clothes or hands.

We offer three surface options:

• High-temperature electrostatic powder coating – provides many color choices.
• Anodizing – preserves the metallic look of aluminum. The finish is matte silver with an oxide layer of 15μm or more, providing excellent wear resistance. Ideal for industrial or modern minimalist styles.
• Fluorocarbon (PVDF) paint – offers the best weather resistance for outdoor use.

Aluminum has a thermal conductivity of 205 W/(m·K), but the powder coat or anodized layer blocks extreme temperatures. The base plate is at least 5mm thick, ensuring it will not bend even after many years of use.
